Wind turbines are now a familiar sight in
many parts of Australia.
Several types are available suitable for the production
of electricity for remote homes and farms.
Unfortunately, there are relatively few sites in North
Queensland that are good wind turbine sites
- most sites are only marginal.
This is true for both the very small types similar
to those found on yachts as well as for larger
units.

Air Marine Tower Kits are designed for easy installation
of the AIR Marine wind generator.
The tower features built-in vibration reduction and all
Stainless Steel Hardware.
The mast set comes in White Powder-Coated Aluminum only.
Purchase both a Mast/Pole Set and a Hardware Kit for a complete
tower, or just the Hardware Kit if you are supplying your
own mast and stays.

Aerogen - LVM wind generators
These well-known wind turbines are manufactured in the
UK by LVM.
They are ideal wind generators for cruising yachts people,
static and mobile caravans and many land applications with
significant power use. They can provide sufficient power
for cruising boats with much electrical equipment, even
refrigeration. They operates safely and continuously in
storms and can produce a maximum of 19 amps at 12 volts
and 9.5 amps at 24 V continuously in high winds.
They feature the latest technology, and the expertise and
experience gained since 1982. These models are the "third
generation" and are being used all over the world for
yachts, research institutes, military forces and remote
area houses.
Aerogen2 - The ideal
small wind generator for weekend yachtsmen, small
yachts and low power land applications. Produces 0.5
amps at 12 knots and 1 amp at 19 knots. It can produce
up to 4 amps intermittently, and is thermally protected.

Aerogen6 - The powerful Aerogen
is the ideal unit for live aboard yachtsmen, long
stay caravaners, summer houses and professional applications
with relative high power usage. Produces 4 amps at
12 knots and 10 amps at 20 knots. It is optimised
to maintain continuous high outputs at higher wind
speeds. It operates safely and continuously in 45
knot winds, producing 30 amps, but above that it requires
some manual control, and therefore is not suitable
for unattended applications.
